The Two Biggest Myths in the Mortgage Business - No Costs/Fees and the Guaranteed Lowest Rate.
In every mortgage loan the originator and the lender are making money. Nobody does this for free. Nobody! Therefore, when companies advertise no closing costs or fees, the customer is going to pay in some other way. Every time.
There is No Such Thing as the Guaranteed Lowest Rate.
The Lowest Rate or Guaranteed Lowest Rate that companies advertise is a Myth, an Illusion! It simply does not exist. Every loan package is a combination including the rate, loan structure and specific terms. It is a function of matching a customer's goals and needs with the reality of the best loan they can get approved for based upon their past and current situation.

The only "Real Rate" that exists for a person is the one they can qualify for that best meets their needs.  Every other rate claim is fiction and can be hurtful to people in many ways they can't even imagine until it is to late. If any loan originator quotes a customer a rate before knowing all the things they need....the loan originator is obviously more interested in themselves, than the customer.

What Does a Rate mean, Anyway?
Mortgage rates are based upon various economic factors. In truth, they represent a guide to creating opportunities for the loan originator to help customers make better decisions. Rates represent trends; they are an integral part of the loan process, not and end unto themselves. The experienced loan expert uses them to provide customers the best options to keep them secure in meeting their objectives.
